An exhibition of art quilts entitled “Impressions of the Gorge” features 18 pieces and is the recent work by members of Beyond the Block: Art Quilters of the Gorge. Using fabric and thread, the artists have created works that celebrate the sights and emotions experienced by those of us lucky enough to live here. Impressionistic and abstract artworks depict iconic images of petroglyphs, Celilo Falls and kite-boarders, and everything from the terror of wildfires through the joy of wildflowers.
The exhibit will be available through February in the library’s community gallery.
Library events and programs are open to the public and provided at no cost. Special accommodations may be requested using our Accommodation Request Form no later than 15 days prior to the event.
