Program Description

Event Details

Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries is partnering with Repair Clark County, a program of Columbia Springs. Volunteers can fix your small appliances and electronics, do minor sewing repairs, sharpen knives and gardening tools, and more!

This event will take place in-person in the Community Room at Cascade Park Community Library. Preregistration of items is voluntary, but saves time and helps the event run smoother. Visit repairclarkcounty.org for more info and to preregister items.

Repair Clark County works on items in the categories of appliances, electronics, sharpening, sewing, jewelry, home decor, bicycles, and other mobility devices. All items must be small enough to be easily carried by one person. Please do not bring microwaves, gas engines, or holiday light strings.

You are invited to bring as many items as you have in each category. Sharpening and sewing are limited to three items or 30 minutes of fixing, whichever comes first. Only one item (or set of items) will be worked on at a time. Additional repairs can be completed during the event by filling out additional repair tickets, or you’ll have the option of “remote” repair where the fix is completed later and your items are returned through a partnering library branch. Remote repair may be used if your items need more tools, parts, or expertise.
