Program description

The White Salmon Valley Community Library and ESD 112 Prevention invite everyone to a free screening of this award winning film.

KPJR Films documentary Paper Tigers follows six troubled teens over the course of a year at Lincoln Alternative High School in rural Walla Walla, Washington. Lincoln’s staff radically changed their approach to disciplining their students, becoming a promising model for how to break the cycles of poverty, violence and disease that affect families. The film is a testament to what the latest developmental science is proving: that one caring adult can help break the cycle of adversity in a young person's life.

Following the film will be a facilitated discussion and refreshments provided by Friends of the White Salmon Valley Community Library.

Library events and programs are open to the public and provided at no cost. Special accommodations may be requested using our Accommodation Request Form up to 15 days prior to the event.
