Learn the world’s greatest all-in-one soil-building, mulching, and composting technique!

Lasagna gardening is composting directly in your garden, using layers. It is a great way to put your garden to bed for the winter, as this technique simultaneously mulches, fertilizes, and builds garden soil.

Together, we will build a lasagna garden bed in the Washougal Library's vegetable garden. Bring your gardening gloves; this workshop will include a hands-on project. If you have any compostable materials to contribute, please bring them with you. This could be leaves, newspaper, shredded paper, coffee grounds, grass or plant clippings, corn stalks, or fruit & vegetable scraps.
