Artist's statement:
Hi, I’m Heidi Cardoza, a local wildlife photographer that resides in Hood River, Oregon.
I had a love for photography from as long as I can remember, and played with cameras whenever I had the chance. I took photography in high-school and really got hooked on the whole processing part, dark rooms, funny smelling chemicals, it all called to me. I furthered that passion in college with more classes, more learning, and more fun.
That love of taking photos stayed with me on and off through my adult life and the introduction to digital cameras, wow! Fast forward to a few years ago when I decided to combine my love for photography, hiking, nature, and all things wildlife, when I really found my passion for wildlife photography, and what I do today!
The exhibit is available for viewing March 1–31, during library open hours.
