Event Details

Created and presented by members of the Columbia River Gorge Quilters’ Guild, Words & Songs is an exhibit composed of two collections.

One collection features quilts designed by guild members in response to a challenge to make a quilt based on a song. The quilts are displayed along with a list of song titles. Exhibit visitors can try to match them up–some are “ no brainers," others are real puzzlers.

The second collection showcases new work by Beyond the Block: Art Quilters of the Gorge. The artists add the power of words to their pieces to make an even stronger connection with the viewer. Whimsey, truth, humor, meaning, and journeys are all represented.

The exhibit is available for viewing November 4-30, during library open hours.
