Program Description

Event Details

First Friday Interactive combines an exhibit of work of local interest, or by local artists, with an opportunity for adults to participate in an art project.

February is the first interactive art event! Washington State Poet Laureate Claudia Castro Luna is conducting a year-long One River, Many Voices project to bring together the voices of poets all along the Columbia River. The poems she collects will be published in an accordion book and presented to Washington libraries.

You can participate by making an accordion book of your own, and by writing words or poetry to add to Vancouver Community Library's River of Words, a representation of how our sense of place and our community ties in to the beautiful Columbia River.

Note

Library events and programs are open to the public and provided at no cost. Special accommodations may be requested using our Disability Accommodation Request Form no later than 15 days prior to the event.
