Program Description

Event Details

In our current polarized political environment, there is a worry that any attempts at political discussions will devolve into arguments and acrimony, and result in hurt feelings or anger. In partnership with Better Angels, this workshop will focus on learning more effective communication skills that are designed to facilitate civil and constructive conversations. Meet your neighbors and join us for an informative and energizing workshop.

Better Angels is a national citizens' movement to reduce political polarization in the United States by bringing liberals and conservatives together to understand each other beyond stereotypes, forming red/blue community alliances, teaching practical skills for communicating across political differences, and making a strong public argument for depolarization. Let's start a conversation - not a fight.
