Why a public bank and what is it? A public bank keeps the profits of banking with the public’s money for the public. A public bank supports projects that are in the public interest even though they don’t earn the maximum possible return. Learn the status of legislation in Washington State and the leading role that public banking plays around the world and what actions the public can take.
