Program Description

Event Details

Discover new films and discuss them with new friends, all from the comfort of your living room.

Each month, we'll meet virtually to discuss a film that is available to stream on Kanopy, for free with your library card. Sign up, watch the film, and join us for a discussion. If you have never used it before, find out how to get started using Kanopy here.

In July, we'll be discussing My Old Lady

Academy Award winners Kevin Kline and Maggie Smith and Academy Award nominee Kristin Scott Thomas star in this witty and heartfelt dramedy about surprising inheritances and unexpected connections.

When Mathias arrives at the sumptuous Parisian apartment he inherited from his father, he's surprised that the property comes with two stubborn live-in tenants, Mathilde and Chloe who are not required to leave according to an ancient French real estate law. As Mathias and Chloe draw increasingly closer, Mathilde unveils a complex labyrinth of secrets that unites the trio in unexpected ways.

Official Selection at the Toronto International Film Festival and the London Film Festival.
