Monday, August 31: Personal Map Making

Forget everything you know about cartography! Follow along as we learn how to make a variety of abstract maps using simple materials. We will practice this project together, so, if you can, gather these supplies for the program:

  1. Paper
  2. Pen/pencil/makers/other writing material
  3. Glue
  4. Scissors

Nice to have, but not required:

  • An old map or map printed from the Internet (Google Maps is great for this)

If you can't gather the supplies before the program, no worries. Please join us for discussion and community!

Grab some paper, pen, scissors and glue and join us for the best hour you'll spend online this week. Learn about the perspective-altering art of personal maps. No experience necessary. Best suited for adults and teens.

To join this online program, you will need a computer, tablet or phone with a microphone. The link and password to join the event will be emailed to registrants one hour before the program begins. A phone number will be included to allow you to use a phone as speaker and microphone, if needed.
