Susan Orlean, author of the bestselling The Library Book, will be the keynote speaker at Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation’s 20th Authors & Illustrators Dinner & Silent Auction.

Orlean’s works include national bestsellers The Orchid Thief and On Animals (one of The Washington Post's notable works of nonfiction and USA Today's Best Books of the Year), Rin Tin Tin, My Kind of Place, Saturday Night, The Bullfighter Checks Her Makeup, and the highly acclaimed bestseller The Library Book (one of both The New York Times’ 100 Notable Books and The Washington Post's Best Books of 2018). Her writing has inspired two films so far, including Adaptation, the Academy Award-winning film starring Meryl Streep. Orlean is also a staff writer for The New Yorker and has written for Outside, Esquire, Rolling Stone, and Vogue.

Tickets to this event are $100 each. There are also a limited number of tickets available for a private reception with Orlean for $25 per person. Tickets for the event can be purchased through FVRL Foundation’s website at fvrlfoundation.org or at TheAuctionEvent.com
