The Garden Gathering series concludes with Central Gorge Master Gardener volunteer, Christie Bradley and former Central Gorge Master Gardener, Christine Bluestone who have a combined 28 years of experience in saving, sharing, and using saved seeds. Bradley exclaims, “Seed saving is a great way to keep a favorite annual plant growing in your garden each year.” With Bluestone following up with, “Knowing how to select viable seeds and how to prepare them for storage is key to your success.”

Topics to be covered in this workshop include:

  • Open pollinated and hybrid varieties
  • Annuals & Biennials
  • Processing seeds
  • Types of seed that are easiest to save
  • Seed viability
