Join us for a talk with Doug Herlihy, a worldwide Forensic Investigator of Aircraft Accidents, as he discusses Forensic Investigations of Aircraft Design Failures through a case study and his experiences on cases he has worked on. Former Naval Aviator, & career Coast Guard pilot, as well as Operations Group Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board of Washington DC, Doug has investigated up to 800+ accidents around the world, most recently in South Africa.

Doug was the Instructor of Accident Reconstruction at University of Southern California, School of Engineering 1994-2004 and has over 18,000 flight hours. Doug received FAA's most distinguished honor, the Wright Brothers "Master Pilot" award for his 50 years of flying and service to aviation safety in 2016.
