Chayag Andean Folk Music And Dance Chayag means, “to arrive” in Quichua, the indigenous language of the Incas. This group has been sharing and preserving the ancestral music, dance and culture of the indigenous people of the Andes for more than 20 years.

The current project is called “Chayag en Familia” or Chayag Family. This project continues decades of work by Alex Llumiquinga to present an engaging interpretation of traditional Andean rhythms to delight the audience, both young and old. The emphasis in the current work is to show the importance of passing on these traditions to our children. www.andeanmusic.org
