Event Details
Enjoy refreshments while you speak freely about your thoughts on death in small groups. Michelle Todd, MDiv, BCC will facilitate.
At a Death Cafe, the aim is to increase awareness of death to help people make the most of their (finite) lives. This is an informal gathering with no intention of leading participants to any conclusion, product or course of action; nor is it meant to be a formal grief support group. Death Cafe principles state the cafes are meant to be an open, respectful, and confidential space where people can express their views safely.
Death Café was founded in England by Jon Underwood based on the work of Bernard Crettaz. Lizzy Miles was the first person to offer Death Café in the US. For more information, visit Deathcafe.com.
