Program Description
Event Details
Register before Friday, 12/18 to receive a project kit! When registering, please indicate your library branch in the "special notes" field. You will be notified when a kit is ready for pick-up at your branch.
For registrants after Friday, 12/18, we will be unable to supply the project kit, but you're encouraged to gather the materials or just join us to watch the demonstration and gather ideas for a future project!
We're going to repurpose glass jars into a personalized snow globe/zen in a bottle/shiny-things-in-a-jar!
Project kit includes:
- Glass jar
- Glycerin
- Glitter and small baubles
- Contact paper
You will need to gather:
- Adhesive (super glue recommended, hot glue ok)
- bottle caps (milk jugs or soda bottles work great)
- Water (tap water is fine, you may prefer distilled water)
Other things that are nice to have, but not necessary:
- small pictures, stickers, or art to put inside the jar
- cutting tools (scissors/X-acto knife)
Get creative and join others to learn how to make stuff! Our monthly project will feature a variety of projects and tools, including recycled crafts, sewing and basic mending, 3D design, fiber arts, paper-making, stamp-carving, watercolor, embroidery, cooking, baking, painting, and more!
Projects are suitable for older teens and adults. No experience is necessary. See the monthly program description to learn about that month's project and the tools you'll need to create along with us
To join this online program, you will need a computer, tablet or phone with a microphone. The link and password to join the event will be emailed to registrants. A phone number will be included to allow you to use a phone as speaker and microphone, if needed.
