Artists' statement:

Kaye Masco: If it is possible to have a silver lining to the 2020 pandemic it would be that I discovered watercolor painting. I have been involved in various mediums of art for the past 40 years. Fused glass, Raku pottery, commercial design, to name a few. During the pandemic I could not continue in those mediums and bought a ‘how to’ watercolor book and never looked back. My paint brush rarely has a chance to dry out. My main intent in watercolor is to make people smile. I love color and tend to use it freely. My subjects range from whimsical animals and people to colorful landscapes in different parts of the world. My primary goal is to continue learning new techniques and style, tips and tricks.

Eva Cobb: My artistic journey delves into the timeless allure of botanicals, celebrating the beauty of nature and its profound connection to happiness. Through my art, I hope to evoke awareness of the intricacies and softer side of nature. With delicate strokes, clean, simple lines and gradience, each piece is a tribute to the joy and serenity I have found in the power of mother earth and her beauty. I have been encouraged by my friends and family. I am extremely appreciative of their support.

The exhibit is available for viewing July 131, during library open hours.
