Program Description

Event Details

Watch and learn about what life as a wolf sanctuary entails as we introduce you to the captive wolves, wolfdogs, and two coyotes that call Wolf Haven International home. Explore the diverse ecosystem of the sanctuary's prairie, where wild prairie plants, pollinators, and animals thrive. Learn about the people and purposes behind it all as we take you on a journey through the heart of Wolf Haven International.

Wolf Haven International is an internationally recognized wolf sanctuary that has rescued and provided a lifetime home for over 300 displaced, captive-born animals since 1982 under the mission “to conserve and protect wolves and their habitat.”

Many of the wolves and wolfdogs that are relocated to Wolf Haven come from private ownership, while others come from zoos, roadside attractions, and other unfortunate situations. The wolves are given exceptional care, quality food, a variety of enrichment items, and progressive medical treatment. Wolf Haven also offers educational programs about wolves and other wildlife, promotes wolf restoration in historical ranges, and works to protect wild wolves and their habitat.
