The Washington State Office of the Attorney General celebrates National Consumer Protection Week   Looking to protect yourself from fraud, identity theft, and scams? Maybe you are wondering about the best way to use credit, how to shop for a new or used car, or maximize your security online. The Office of the Attorney General has information for you during National Consumer Protection Week — March 1-7, 2020 — and throughout the year.   The Office of the Attorney General will be hosting this event and doing a presentation on this year’s topic "Keep Your Information Safe in The Digital Age – take steps to protect your privacy and safety."   A key priority for the Attorney General’s Office is to safeguard consumers from fraud and unfair business practices by educating the public on issues such as identity theft and scams, especially those that target seniors, minorities and vulnerable populations.
