Gather your supplies and join us for this real-time virtual program as we make our own face masks using household supplies. No sewing skills required!  We'll learn a bit about cloth face masks and make a few different masks based on the supplies listed below.

Supplies needed:

  • fabric (old t-shirt, sock, dish towel, sheets, bandana, etc)
  • scissors

Nice to have, but not required:

  • Paper and Pencil
  • Coffee filter or facial tissue (Kleenex)
  • hair ties/rubber bands
  • Pipe cleaner
  • Hot glue or fabric glue
  • Needle + thread
  • cereal box cardboard
  • paperclip
  • stapler

As of June 26, 2020, a statewide order requires all individuals to wear a face-covering in indoor public spaces such as stores, offices, and restaurants. The order also requires face coverings outdoors when you can't stay 6 feet apart from others. Learn more about the order on the Washington State website

To join this online program, you will need a computer, tablet or phone with a camera and microphone*. The link to join the event will be emailed to registrants one hour before the program begins.
