Event Details
There are many benefits to meditation but how do you actually "do" it. We will discuss the basics of meditation, how to get started, and how you can build a meditation practice that works for you.
You may attend this event in-person or online. To join online click on the following link at the time of the event: https://bit.ly/3mDhbvm. You will need a computer, tablet or phone with a camera and microphone.
Every second Monday of the month you will learn a meditation technique, discuss the history and benefits of this technique, and of course…practice! All experience levels welcome. These monthly sessions will help you discover what meditation technique works best for you and give you a month to practice the technique. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion and you can support your practice with materials available at the library.
Meditation cushions and chairs are available.
About the Instructor:
Melissa Mattern is a Skamania resident and has been teaching meditation for 7 years. She loves helping people learn to meditate who have either tried meditation and “failed” or are intimidated by meditation classes. Her style is fun, approachable, and interactive, and she believes that if you can breathe…you can meditate!
