Program Description

Event Details

Nature is everywhere - we just need to learn to see it and late Fall is the perfect time! Join Jessica Becker, author of the “little feet hiking” book series, to talk about the season, learn nature awareness skills, and then walk through the neighborhood to practice those new skills.

This event is for kids 5+ and their caregivers and will include time indoors and outdoors on a 1-mile walk. Younger siblings are welcome if they can keep pace with elementary kids. After starting in the warm indoors, we’ll practice being outside in all types of weather as a group on a walk through the neighborhood to put what we’ve learned into practice.

If you have a nature journal and pencils, bring them along. We’ll have extra on hand though too! You’re welcome to bring water, snacks, and something to sit on if you don’t want to sit on the ground (garbage bags are one option) too.

This is not a drop-off event and registration is required. Please sign up one person per family and indicate how many will be participating in the notes.
