Program Description

Event Details

“Once Upon a Table” is a journey thru the Columbia River Gorge’s food scene from its first peoples to today’s modern family. Sample treats from local Native American and Pioneer recipes, including an old fashioned cornbread prepared in a Dutch oven that traveled from east to west in 1848, will be taste tested by attendees! Plus, the topic of individual food preparedness in the event of a shortage or emergency will be discussed in this presentation. The community is invited for a fun, educational, and tasty evening with Annie McHale and Curt Gray of ROOTS Farmacy,.

ROOTS Farmacy offers food and nutrition education thru cooking classes and personal chef services. Annie and Curt, co-owners, have a life-time of experience as organic gardeners, farmers, educators, and food preparers.

These events are co-sponsored by the Grange and Stevenson Community Library. For more information, call Mary Repar, Grange Master, at 360-726-7052 or e-mail repar@saw.net.
