Program Description

Event Details

Telling a great story isn’t just about making people laugh or cry. It’s about sharing an event that changed you and how you live your life. Stories have the power to build empathy, leadership, and connection, both for the storyteller and the audience.

Join us, on four consecutive Saturdays, for a series of interactive workshops for students in grades 6–8 to learn the art and play of storytelling through StoryPlay. You will learn how to be a fantastic storyteller directly from storytelling pros about how to craft a story that makes impact, how to present it to hold audience attention, how to improvise instead of memorize, and how to be more comfortable speaking in front of others.

Workshop for grades 9–12 begin at 2 pm, after the 6–8 graders' workshop ends.

There will be a final performance showcase happening at The Ruins in Hood River on February 24.
