Many know the "Trail of Tears"—a sad part of the Cherokee Nation's history with the United States Government. Learn the history, before and after the Indian Removal Act of the 1830s–1850, of the Cherokee People. Cherokee Nation Historian and Linguist Kara Fairchild Beam tells the history, culture, and current status of a nation surviving against great odds.

Kara Fairchild Beam is an engaging speaker and teacher with over 20 years experience teaching. Trained in Cherokee Language and History by Cherokee National Treasure Ed Fields, Kara is passionate about preserving the language and culture of her tribe.
