Curious about yoga but not sure where to start? Join Sarah Nelsen for this yoga basics class. Sarah will give tips on practicing yoga at home, determining the correct style of yoga for you and she'll teach a yoga class focusing on the basic standing poses of hatha yoga. Class will include floor work as well as standing work, and will include modifications to use a chair for extra support while standing. There will be time for questions.

To join this online program, you will need a computer, tablet or phone with a camera and microphone. The link to join the event will be emailed to registrants. A phone number will be included to allow you to use a phone as speaker/microphone, if necessary.

Sarah is a certified yoga therapist and yoga teacher. She is passionate about using the tools of yoga to help alleviate anxiety, depression, insomnia and persistent pain while creating conditions for deep rest. Her classes are gentle and therapeutic with an emphasis on using the breath to help calm the nervous system and movement to gently release physical tension. Her classes are great for those who are new to yoga, are injured, or are craving a quiet, reflective practice. More information can be found at sarahnelsenyoga.com

Sarah cannot diagnose or treat medical conditions. Yoga therapy works in conjunction with your current treatment for medical conditions.
