Program Description

Event Details

Watch the 2023 Annular Solar Eclipse with the library! Get free solar eclipse glasses, learn about the Solar Eclipse, and explore outer space through activities and crafts. The October 14, 2023 Annular Solar Eclipse will be a partial eclipse for most of North America except for a narrow path from Oregon to Texas and further south, where an annular (ring of fire) eclipse will be visible. It is never safe to look directly at the sun without specialized eye protection designed for solar viewing. Solar Eclipse glasses are limited to one per person and will be available at all library events. Learn more on the NASA website.

This program is appropriate for all ages.
