Program Description
Event Details
On July 20, 1969, the human race accomplished its single greatest technological achievement to date when a man first set foot on another celestial body - the moon! To celebrate the 50th anniversary of this epic achievement, and in conjunction with our Universe of Stories Summer Reading Program events, our host - Troy Carpenter from the Goldendale Observatory - will give a talk about NASA's Apollo program followed by a showing of the newly released documentary film Apollo 11, which features original footage of the historic mission to land humans on the moon.
