Civics Is Fundamental
A series presented by the League of Women Voters of Clark County

Session 2: Political Literacy, Fake News, and Personality Politics
This session provides ways for voters identify how they feel on important issues and what their values are; research candidates, their funding, and their record; combat “fake news” and “alternative facts”; take action by voting.

Session 3: Mechanics of Voting & Expanding Your Circle of Influence
We will be looking at the November 2018 ballot and offering resources to help you make decisions. We will hear from former office holders to understand what some of these jobs are like to do. Finally we will discuss ways to stay civil while talking about politics with friends and family.
