Researching ancestry can be challenging. Where do you start? Which of the 60,000 websites will give you the information you want? With the help of the FVRL Virtual Genealogy Club, led by experienced genealogist John Lake, you can join your neighbors in learning how to explore your past. Any level of experience is welcome, from the long-time genealogist to those interested in starting a search.

Typically you should start planning 9 - 12 months in advance of any trip and so now would be a good time to start thinking about it! We will discuss how to get the most out of your trip, how to save money, and how to enjoy yourself as well! Even if you are not planning a trip we will talk about how to do more to add color to your family tree by using virtual travel tools that are available on the internet.

To join this online program, you will need a computer, tablet or phone with a camera and microphone. The link to join the event will be emailed to registrants. A phone number will be included to allow you to use a phone as speaker/microphone, if necessary.
