Explore the creative universe of Taki Soma, a HUGO award-nominated artist, writer, and colorist whose body of work includes titles like Bitch Planet, Dick Tracy, The After Realm, and Iron Man. Join us for a discussion of Taki’s graphic biographies, starting with her compelling autobiographical graphic novel, Sleeping while Standing. Audiences will also be treated to an exclusive preview of her latest project–a biography of the iconic Vincent Van Gogh. In this inspiring program, Taki Soma also explores the therapeutic power of storytelling through visuals, revealing how the magic of graphic narration can be a transformative and cathartic experience for both creator and audience alike.
