Event Details

Prepping yourself or your family for a potential emergency can be overwhelming. Join Emily Olson for a hands-on tutorial on simple steps you can take to write a family emergency plan for both home and work. We will also discuss establishing out-of-state contacts, connecting with local and regional public alerts and inserting In-Case-of-Emergency contacts in your phone. Emily has given talks and classes in Earthquake Preparedness and is trained as a Neighborhood Emergency Team volunteer with the Portland Bureau of Emergency Management. She is passionate about getting friends and neighbors started on the road to emergency prep with easy-to-implement steps and believes these simple steps can break the inertia of overwhelm and help people feel empowered to take action.
