There are a variety of ways to create a personal web site for free, and one of the most popular tools for this is WordPress. Whether you want a personal blog, one for your club or a small business, Rory Bowman will discuss various options available and show how one can use free WordPress software to get started. If you have an email address, you can sign up for a free account at WordPress.com, and then later migrate that to a "self-hosted" WordPress installation elsewhere as needed.

Please register your free WordPress.com before class, so you can be logged in and ready as class begins. Previous computer experience required, but not previous experience with web pages. If you need help creating your WordPress account, please call the La Center library to schedule an appointment with one of our staff.
