Event Details

Join us for the second annual Words and Pictures Festival happening throughout the library. Meet local authors and illustrators who write and create for children, teens, and adults. Readings and art demonstrations will occur during the entire festival, along with a presentation from local publisher Not a Pipe Publishing.

Adults & Young Adult Creators - Conference Room
11:30 am-12:30 pm - graphic novels and comics presentations with Barry Deutsch, Becky Hawkins, and Sloane Leong
12:30-1:15 pm - readings by Curtis Chen, Cal Spivey, David Levine, and Jessie Kwak 
1:15-2 pm - readings by Heidi Mason, Randal Houle, Sheryl Scarborough, and Brian Tashima 

Not a Pipe Publishing, Authors and Presenters - Fireside Area
2-3 pm “The Year of Publishing Women,” presented by Benjamin Gorman of Not a Pipe Publishing
Readings by Mikko Azul, Karen Eisenbrey, Benjamin Gorman, Debby Dodds, and Heather Ransom

Picture Book and Middle-Grade Creators - Children’s Area
