This month we will be discussing Any Second by Kevin Emerson.

Five years ago Elian was kidnapped. Physical and emotionally abused, brainwashed, now his captor sends him into the mall-- with a bomb strapped to his chest. Across the mall is Maya, a girl whose crippling anxiety holds her prisoner in its own way. When Maya keeps Eli from detonating the bomb, nothing is the same. They are drawn together by their dark pasts-- and only time will tell if meeting each other will change them for better or worse.
