Join Integrated Movement Therapist and yoga teacher, Bonny Chipman, for a yoga class focused on gentle strength and stretching as well as calming the nervous system. We will use mindful movement, breath, and guided meditation to relieve tension and stress. Class may include poses on the floor, seated, and standing - variations will be given to make class as accessible as possible. Reclined poses could be done on the floor or a bed; seated poses could be done on the floor or in a chair; standing poses could use the wall or a chair for support. The last class of each month will focus on Restorative yoga, a floor based practice that utilizes props to support the body in restful shapes, provide a gentle stretch, and soothe the nervous system. Props you may want to have on hand include: a blanket, a pillow, a strap, and a chair.
The link to join the event will be emailed to registrants. You will need a computer, tablet or phone with a camera and microphone. A phone number will be included to allow you to use a phone as speaker/microphone, if necessary.
