Event Details
Screenprinting is the art of creating designs on paper, fabric, and other surfaces by pressing ink through a stenciled screen. Sign up before October 15 to receive a project kit. Project kits will be available at the library branch you select from Thursday, October 21-Monday, October 25.
Included in the Kit:
- Screen
- Screenprinting Ink
- Squeegee
- Paper
- Scrap Fabric
- Prepared stencil
- Stencil Material to create a custom stencil
In addition, you will need:
- Painters Tape/Masking Tape
- X-Acto Blade
- Hairdryer/heat source to dry ink
- Cover your work surface with newspaper or wax paper
- Water and basin to wash stencil and screen between prints
Get creative and join others to learn how to make stuff! Our monthly project will feature a variety of projects and tools, including recycled crafts, sewing and basic mending, 3D design, fiber arts, paper-making, stamp-carving, watercolor, embroidery, cooking, baking, painting, and more!
Projects are suitable for older teens and adults. No experience is necessary. See the monthly program description to learn about that month's project and the tools you'll need to create along with us
To join this online program, you will need a computer, tablet or phone with a microphone. The link to join the event will be emailed to registrants. A phone number will be included to allow you to use a phone as speaker and microphone, if needed.
